Shamus pledges to bring back integrity, accountability and end job killing regulations.

SAN DIEGO, CA — September 18th — Today, small business owner and advocate Shamus Sayed launched his campaign for the Republican nomination in California’s 50th District against the embattled incumbent, Duncan Hunter. The business leader in the race, Shamus, will work to attract good paying jobs by slashing job-killing regulations that continue to be concocted out of DC and Sacramento. He knows what it means to grow a company having run a family-owned business that provides interpretation services to underserved limited English-speaking groups for over ten years.

Shamus released the following statement:

“I’ve called San Diego ‘home’ my entire life. I’m proud to own a business based in this magnificent city and grateful of my deep roots in the neighborhood. Running a local business is similar to being an elected official – both must be based on trust. Duncan Hunter has challenged the trust we have in him at this point, and now more than ever we need to trust our elected officials to protect us both from big government overreach and extremists looking to terrorize the American way of life. I pledge to bring integrity and accountability back to the 50th District.”

He added, “It’s time to deliver on the promises of cutting taxes on small businesses, healthcare reform and reducing regulations. I am running for California’s 50th Congressional District because as an entrepreneur I know how to cut through red tape to get things done and I will take that fight to Washington.”

Shamus’ Chief Strategist, John Thomas, said, “Our campaign looks forward to restoring trust and bringing a strong Conservative agenda to Congress to support every hard-working American.”
